The Red Scrolls Of Magic - Cassandra Clare and Wesley Chu

One more of my most anticipated reads of 2019. This book was so very kindly bought by my best friend who gifted it to me. I love her so much!

So make yourself ready for another review. And I don't know if I have to say this, but better to be safe and not spoil for anyone...SO...

SPOILERS

Author: Cassandra Clare and Wesley Chu

Rating: 5/5 stars

Genre: Fantasy, YA

Times read: Read it for the first time

Faves

Characters: I adore, adore, ADORE Magnus Bane, and Alec obv. But Then two of my other faves just ploped up in this book. Helen and Aline.

Settings: I think it might be Paris? Just because Alec goes there to see things while Magnus does the thing he does and we get to see all this turisty things from a shadowhunters perspective.

Quote:

Magnus had always had a wanderer's heart. Over the centuries, he had adventured in so many different places, always looking for something that would fulfill his restless hunger. He never realized how all the pieces could fall together, how home could be somewhere and someone. He belonged with Alec. His wandering heart could rest.

Plot: Magnus Bane and Alec Lightwood is on vacation, but the vacation is cut short when an old joke of Magnus' come back and bites them both in the butt.

My feelings of the book: I kinda figured from the start that this was something I would really enjoy. I have always loved Cassandra Clare's Shadowhunter universe. I seem to be on the minority side of this opinion: I am not at all tired of this universe.

I love that we get to see the process Alec goes through in handle this new relationship and how he blooms out to be the person he actually is. Not only do we get to se the beginning of Malec but also the beginning of Helen and Aline.

I really loved this and it did not disappoint. I do not regret putting it up on my most anticipated list...You find this list here!

Stay safe and read happily!
